Overview of Techniques involved
1. Sourcing and Transporting raw material and raw material preparation
- Fabric, blocks,printing table
- Dyes, tools, machinery
2. Pre printing pocess
- Scouring and dye preparation form a part of the pre printing process.
- Processes like washing, drying repetative.
3. Block printing
- The retted and dried husks are then pounded to separate out the fiber.
4. Dyeing
- The fabric is then dyed if required. This dyeing in some csases is also done before the printing.
5. Washing
- The dyed faric is then washed thoroughly.
6 . Drying
- The washed fabric is then sun dried, folded and finished and transported to the traders.
