Overview of Techniques involved
1. Sourcing and Transporting raw materials and creation of wax model
- Rags, pulp, adhessive
- Tools and accessories
2. Preparing the leather
- Soking & drying
- Expoliation
- Preparation for veg tanning
- Tanning
3. Design templates and leather smoothening:
- The tanned leather is the smoothened out and simultaneously on the design templates prepared.
4. Pattern cutting
- The pattern cutting is done based on the design templates.
5. Punching, Stitching & Assmebling
- The various parts are then asembled together by a series of punching holes & sewing processes.
6. Finishing and packing
- The surface is then brushed, polished and finished.
