There are craftspersons making objects related to the festivals and for use in the performing arts, viz. masks, headgear, costumes, idols, pandals, etc.
Overview of Techniques involved
1. Sourcing and Transporting raw materials and raw material preparation

2. Base and mould preparation
- First the artisans prepares the leather base & mould separately.
- Then for the lampshade they cut the leather and stretch and stich it onto the mould.
- Wheras for the puppets the leather is used directly
3. Design outlining and filling
- Onto this, the artisan makes the designs drawings are done with a pencil.
- After marking the designs, outlines are painted with black. Thereafter colours are filled in with vegetables dye. The outlines are then darkened once again.
4. Mounting
- This puppet from is then mounted on sticks and bound with ropes for movement.
5. Hand chissling
- Small holes are chisseled in the patterns enhances the attractiveness.
6. Drying
- The product is dried in sun light for a day or two.
