Tie dye is process of Resist dyeing in which portions of the fabric are tied to prevent the dye from penetrating.
Overview of Techniques involved
1. Sourcing and Transporting raw materials and raw material preparation
- Fabric, Dyes
- Trims and accessories
2. Design preparation and Transferring
- Processes the design that is finalised first made on the paper and then transferred onto the fabric
4. Dyeing
- The fabric is then dyed after which the fabric is re-tied and re-dyed as per requirement.
5. Washing
- The dyed fabric is then washed thoroughly, dried & packed else it is washed & sundried after which the knots are removed
6. Finishing
- The fabric is then ironed and packed.
