Overview of Techniques involved
1. Sourcing and Transporting raw material and raw material preparation
- Wood
- Various hand tools
2. Hand sketching/outlining
- The outline is drawn on the log of wood using a template and then the edges of the design is chiselled.
3. Hand carving
- The wood is then carved at the edges from the edges.
4. Hand chiseling
- The fine details are worked out using a hand chissel
5. Hand joining
- All the different parts are joined together using nails
6 . Surface finishing
- Finally the surface is smoothed and finished to complete the product.
